Appeal to motive:

Definition Example
When a claim is dismissed, by calling into question the motives of its sponsor. You are claiming that my girlfriend is cheating on me only because you want to date her yourself!
  Notes
While a questionable motive might allow us to expect a particular bias within the argument, or even a reason for fabricating a claim, it is the argument itself that must be assessed.

Case Study One

It is often claimed that the “real” reason behind the invasion of a country is a hunger for their natural resources. While this is a possibility, this must be demonstrated rather than merely asserted.

Keep in mind that a fallacious argument does not entail an erroneous position.
